Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage If the bridge is over water, then it suggests that your transition will be an emotional one. Alternatively, the bridge may indicate that you are trying to "bridge" or connect two things together. 

To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.

 

To dream that you are riding in an automobile, signifies that even in pleasant situations, you will still be restless and uneasy.

To dream that you nearly escape from the impact of an automobile, denotes that you will successfully overcome any rivalry.

 

Consider how smooth or rough the car ride is. If you are driving the car, then you are taking an active role in the way your life is going.

 

You had started off on a path or journey, but never reached the end. Perhaps life had taken you on a different direction that you had planned or intended.

I have a number of recurring dreams that I have had since childhood.  (For the record, I am well into my adulthood).  This is only one of them.

For as long as I can remember I dreamed about a faulty bridge.  I am in a car (I can't tell if I am a driver or a passenger) that is approaching the bridge where it spans over water. Because a bridge is an elliptical shape, no one sees that cars are just driving right off at the apex and into the water.  The car I am in stops almost in time, teetering like you see in movies, and my mind goes into a frenzy trying to figure a way to carefully change the weight in the car to the end still on the bridge, rather than the end that would make it fall to the water.  A different variation is being stuck in traffic as the bridge begins to crumble and trying to get the car to either back away from the danger point or speed up to try to "jump" the span. My fear varies from being severely injured (or dying) upon impact with the water, to being trapped in the car as it sinks and not being able to get out. The constant is that it's always winter and I just know that the water is going to be painfully cold. 

 

Oddly, I have not had that dream since the bridge collapse in Minnesota in 2007.  I have never been to Minnesota, I don't know anyone from Minnesota, nor did I know anyone who was involved in the events of that day.  These facts, to me, make it strange that my bridge dreams have not returned since.

 

I am open to any analysis.  Thanks!

Angela, depending on the type of dream, flying can also be a type of astral projection as well. Though still a type of liberation, it can have a bit different of meaning. ^.^

Angela, dreams about flying can usually represent some sort of liberation in real life. If you just overcame a big obstacle in your life or accomplished something of importance, then you may dream about flying. For centuries, flight has been considered the ultimate freedom, so its natural to dream of it when you feel you have freed yourself from something.

Angelsvoice, your dreams about war could be a representation of struggles in your life. If you are caught up in some sort of internal or external conflict, this may be your minds way of reacting. Depending on the time period of the war, you may be concerning yourself over past, current, or future event. If you are concerned over a past event then come to terms with it, if it is a current event then take initiative and fight, and if it is a future event then prepare for it so you can deal with it when the time comes.

This is my own interpretation, take from it what you will. If you need further explanation of anything, please ask.

On another note, I am also a strong believer in reincarnation. So if you're not caught in some sort of conflict in your life right now, I think that in a past life you may have been a soldier who died in war and some of the memories are still with you.

i have been having dreams about war time. I have no idea what that is about. I dont know if its past events or what?
