Are Ouija boards harmless children's toys, or tools of the devil?

Are Ouija boards harmless children toys, or tools of the devil?

A child bought a Ouija board because he wanted to talk to spirits. His
dad says it's a tool of the Devil but the kid thinks he'll be fine.

What do you think?

The boards should be carefully used the way you would a ritual, open and closing the boards is very important, asking the spirits to leave and not leave thing open, it's not a good toy for kids
Even if you do a ritual and open and close...they're volatile. Having good experiences with those things is more on the side of luck that perfected ritual in my experiences. I'd prefer a kid's version of tarot cards before a Ouiji is someone absolutely MUST get them something divinitive...for some unknown reason O.o Sure, both will bite back, and I'm still not sure if I'm behind tarot for a child, but tarot is more of a "direct line" to something definitive...like dialing a number on a telephone. Ouiji is like leaving your house door wide open and hoping nobody negative see's.
I would agree that the Ouija board is like a wheel of fortune and you really never know who is communicating hrough the other side. I have done lots of clean up for people who have inadvertently invited unwanted energy into their auras and homes using this device.

From what I have experienced personally and heard from others, the Ouija board is deffinetly NOT a toy. Also there is no devil in Paganism or the craft, that is a Christian entity. I beleve that the board is a portal for good and/or mostly evil spirits to pass through to this world. If you must use it for some type of divination be very cautious and cleanse it before using. Parker brothers needs to be shot for the creation of that game. just MHO.
for starters, why on earth would you mass produce witchboards, place them in cutesy boxes and pass them off as children's games?
i mean, not for nothing, use of a tool like a witchboard by those who know what the heck they are doing... i can respect that.
but... um, just as i would not give my daughter a nine millimeter and tell her it's a toy go shoot someone...
i wouldn't give her a witchboard and say, go ahead, start dialing.
I had the "pleasure" of seeing an old rosewood one...I don't know what kind of person would even hold that and say "let's mass produce it!"

I remember when I was younger my Grandmother used to watch my sister and I after school and she would secretly bring out her Ouija board and ask it questions about the future. They did come out to be true but there was always a downside to it (as in she would physically have something happen to her or whomever was close to her). As I grew up and started acquiring more information about the paranormal, I realized then that what she was doing wasn't right and spoke to her about it. Of course after multiple family members and friends telling her to stop playing with it and having all of these horrible events following her every time she used the board, she still to this day uses it.

With that said, I will never touch one or go near one. You never know what it can unleash.
